GIVERNY
"Monet at home"
THE TOUR :
Claude Monet, like many impressionist painters, was attracted by the beautiful, peaceful and
colorful countryside of Giverny and settled here in 1883. The artist was greatly inspired by the flower gardens surrounding his Giverny home and created the now famous Japanese bridge and water garden which later became the main focus for his work. Our tour includes a full visit of Monet's home, studio and gardens with the opportunity for visitors to appreciate this artistic shrine with legendary play of light and
color contrasts.
ITINERARY :
We leave Paris by the western districts of the city and follow the Normandy motorway as far as Bonnières. After crossing the River Seine at Vernon we reach Giverny which is located at around 1h15 from Paris.
