MONTMARTRE AND THE FLEA MARKET

Of all our tours, this is the only one that includes a visit to Montmartre. The Montmartre district has retained a village like atmosphere and the Montmartre butte (hill) offers an exceptional viewpoint of the capital dominated by the celebrated Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. The ever present artists and portrait painters are reminiscent of the period when Montmartre was at the heart of artistic life in Paris. At a close distance to Montmartre, the famous Marché aux Puces offers an amusing attraction with a multitude of alleyways and 
passages lined with antiquity, clothes, jewelry and curiosities. The golden opportunity to haggle for a bargain!. 


ITINERARY : 

We cross the northern districts of Paris as far as the Anvers metro station. Accompanied by our hostess, we continue on foot to the railway funicular which takes us to Montmartre (5 minute journey). Clients have free time (1 hour) to visit the inside of the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur and the Montmartre 
village.

Rendez-vous for the return journey to your coach. We continue as far the Porte de Saint-Ouen for bargain hunting and discovery of the animated and atmospheric marché aux puces (Flea market). 

Return to the starting point close to the Opera around 6.30pm. Tour duration : 4.5 hours.
